Got out after few weekends missed about 7am to 1pm. Set up behind docks, about 200 yards out in 12FOW. We set 4 flags and nothing all day on flags. First 5 min we landed 2 perch about 10 inch and 1- 12 inch crappie right away. Around 11am we landed another 4 perch about 10-11 inch and another 12 inch crappie. Kept them all and threw back a few small ones. Hit on waxies for the most part but snagged some crappies on minnows. REALLY hopong this rain doesnt do too much damage. Want to get out again and get a big bag of fish.

Fished yesterday from 1:30 - 6:45. Accessed the lake from the Park District ramp and fished a little north of Lindy's ramp in 12 FOW. Had a productive day catching bass, a catfish, perch, pumkinseeds, gills and several crappie. Most fish were caught within 2 foot of the bottom. All crappie came on small minnows. The bass hit a slender spoon with white spikes added for scent. The perch hit a small kastmaster with spikes added. There were 11 inches of clear solid ice with approximately 2 inches of frozen slush on top. With the rain coming this might have been the last trip of the year. I hope not.

Got back out today after a couple weeks away from Bangs. The water has cleared up. Marked 11" good ice under about 6-12" snow. ATV travel was good, foot travel was slow but doable. I went out off of LVVA. Got a nice mixed-bag in 3 hours while the sun was shining bright. 7-10 f.o.w. and fish were aggressive. 1 perch and 1 crappie were pushing 12". An excellent day to be out
