Ron Barefield's Fishing Adventures

As one of Southern Wisconsin's full time fishing guides, I concentrate my services on the Madison Chain of Lakes, the Wisconsin River system from Wisconsin Dells to Muscoda, including Lake Wisconsin. Trips are also provided to other outlying lakes, see listings below. Besides providing a fun filled fish catching experience, I put great value in sharing my years of knowledge regarding fish catching techniques. With up to 40 years of experience fishing southern Wisconsin waters, I have had articles written about my fishing abilities in Outdoor Life, Field and Stream, Wisconsin Sportsman, Bassmaster's Magazine and numerous newspapers. In the past few years, I've been a guest on several outdoor television programs. I also do presentations at fishing clubs and fishing seminars. I am currently on the Pro-Staff of the following manufacturers: Frabill, Plano Tackle Systems, Matzuo, Jiffy Ice Drills, Bait Rigs, Shimano, and Minnkota. In addition to guiding the spin and casting fisherman, I offer great experiences for the fly fisherman for smallmouth bass, northern pike, and panfish.

Equipment:
I run a 20 foot Lund 2025 ProV with a 125 HP Tiller outboard on the lakes. On the rivers, we fish from a 20 foot Roughneck with a 115 HP jet engine, which allows us to run water as shallow as 4 inches. Both boats are fully rigged with Minnkota trolling motors and Vexilar locators. All rods, tackle, and bait is provided, you may bring your own equipment if desired. Items you may need to bring: camera, polarized sunglasses, rain gear, sunscreen, your lunch, and beverages. Also a Wisconsin fishing license is required. We use all top grade Shimano tackle in our trips.

Rates:
Full Day: $300.00 (two people) - 8 to 10 hours on the water.
Half Day: $200.00 (two people) - 4 to 5 hours on the water.
