Grand River State Wildlife Area

Is there still any flooding in the Grand River State Wildlife Area?  Are there areas to stay away from?  

Also - how is the deer population in this area?

I heard there are a lot of deers in that area so I'd like to explore it. What's the best time for visiting the Grand River State Wildlife Area?
