Eastern Eau Claire county, small bucks chasing and cruising, I have not heard off or seen any big ones moving yet.  Also, oddly very little road kill observed.

Question for those who frequently hunt this area -- not looking for any suggestions on spots, just curious - how hard does this area get hit the first few days of gun season? Went last season 2nd weekend and had no luck at all.. walked over 25 miles of area public lands in trempeleau, buffalo, and eau claire counties to no avail.. hoping it was more us choosing bad spots rather than the pressure, but not thinking that's the case.
