Oak Creek/Franklin/Greendale area spots to teach a toddler to fish?

New to this site, and its been a while since I've fished in SE WI. Not interested in size as much as frequency of action to keep him interested. Catch and release from shore with night crawlers. Any ideas or advice are much appreciated.

there's Miller park (one mentioned behind oak creek high school) gourney pond in Caledonia off of Nicholson, scout pond, racine quarry and a few others but can't remember the names of them. ones in Cudahy

Thanks for the ideas. Ended up starting at Scout Lake from the pier. After an hour of nothing, we moved to the pond in front of Franklin HS. Every cast produced a small bluegill, which made his day.

There's also crappie in there. Or at least a hand full.... And at least 2 huge goldfish. At least 6 years ago.

There's a pond behind Oak Creek High school, I always see plenty of gills when I walk by.
