I am not here to discuss the season or if it should be allowed. The season exists and I am glad it does. That being said I would love to help mentor some youth this year for the hunt and get some kids into the waterfowl hunting world we all know and love. My location is Stevens Point so if anyone knows a youth that would be interested or wants to get their kid on a quality waterfowl hunt the weekend of September 19th or 20th drop me a PM and I would be more than happy to help. I would say parents are encouraged to come and experience the excitement with their kid. I can provide almost everything from gun through decoys. Only thing I ask you provide is camo (waders if possible) shells, and of course a licences. Thanks and I hope everyone has a fun season and takes a kid out hunting this season.

A few less ducks flying around today as compared to Saturday. We had a fun morning, and the boys each got one Woodie.

The boys had a great hunt this morning! As usual, Fowler2 put the kids on some birds. The boys started out a bit rusty, but got back into the groove after a few misses.

They ended the day with 2 Mallards, 3 Woodies, and 1 BWT, and are looking forward to getting out again this evening and tomorrow. This is my youngest son's last YH so he's going to make sure he makes the most of it.

A big thanks to Fowler2 for his time, and a big thanks to his Lab Bella for fetching all the downed birds. It's always fun to watch a great hunting dog do their thing!

Scooner, yes, half hour before sunrise for the youth hunt. I guess more importantly, when you and your youth shooters are aware of there targets and beyond.

Hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable hunt!

Hi everyone, can someone tell me what time shooting hours start for the youth opener? I have been checking everywhere and cannot find it. So I guess it's half hour before sunrise?

Thanks for any help
