Ralph, I know what your talking about, you told me in a PM last year, when you said that you haven't been up here in years. Wink I'm saying that one can't use a motor of any kind to get up the dikes that lead into the marsh proper where all the main hunting goes on. But still... see for yourself

Sorry, ralphie, the DNR page on the Grand River marsh specifically states that "no motor boats or electric motors are allowed at anytime on the Wildlife Area." I 'spose this debate can be put to rest now.

Has anyone been seeing any birds here, or near Puckaway?

Just got back from the grand river marsh and decided to not hunt it this year.. the fox river is very low and the grand is even lower, the dykes to the marshes have enough water to maybe get a skiff down but otherwise i had a hard time getting anywhere with my mud motor.. Just a heads up to you guys that were wondering on the water level...

They probably did drain it then...like I said I have no idea, but did you say they were filing it back up already or no? I hope they do because it will have a big affect on the upcoming season...

i heard it from two people that were out fishing it during the summer that it was drained down to pretty much just the river channel.
