Jake followed him half a block, down to shore & onto dock puffed&strutting, ready to fight.
Broinlaw blocked him with cooler till I walked up to jake and whopped him in face with hat. Getting to be nuisance in the neighborhood & danger to small kids. Going to be tasty dinner soon.
Thank you guys for your comments. I agree with both of you. I see people complain about the smallest things and I think how selfish. When I see kids like these kids, and the fifth week of the season I put together an adult hunt with the challenge the outdoor group and they are just excited to be able to get out in the woods. And for me I get more excited then the person I am taking out then they do. I wait all year for these couple of weeks it is a rush.
Wingbone
Wingbone, I give you a great deal of credit for the work you are doing with those kids. Too often we forget how fortunate we really are. I have been watching the guys in the waupaca county doe only thread complain. Maybe you can hook up with some of those guys with too many deer and out some smiles on these kids faces. I promise they will shoot a die and consider it a trophy. Again, good work.
We had our annual youth turkey hunt this weekend with the shadows on the wolf program. Everyone had a good time. 36 hunters with 19 birds harvested. I was lucky enough to be paired up with a very special young man named Jake on the right in the photo. Both Jake and his brother Max where able to connect with the birds Saturday morning within minutes of each other about two miles apart.
Over the years I have harvested many gobblers. This was my first ever double bearded bird.
