Looking for a different slaw for fish tacos, maybe with Napa Cabbage not the old white sauce tavern slaw.

A favorite of mine is shredded cabbage with a half lime juiced in, fresh cracked pepper and a half table spoon of malted vinegar.. Makes a great slaw for fish tacos. And for a recipe I picked up in Kona hi. For a sauce. Take equal parts plain yogurt, taco sauce, not salsa and sour cream it is awesome ajust heat to taste. It is out of this world. Also for a great fish taco tip take expanded metal cut in 8x8 square fold corner to corner so it forms a triangle then take your corn tortilla place in side then place another 8x8 inside of tortilla then deep fry the tortilla it makes a perfect taco shell!

Our recipe is so simple but delicious. Just plain old cole slaw mix in the bag (Dole or whatever) and Southwest Chipotle salad dressing. If you or some guests want it hotter we always have Cholula on hand. We have tried tons of other combos but this is what we always come back to.

Celery slaw

Grated celery root, julienned green apple, mayo, lemon juice, s+p

Tbh never tried it with fish but I'm sure it'd be good.

A restaurant around here also uses a Chipotle tarter sauce for theirs. It's fantastic. The slaw they use is a drier slaw and works perfect.

Southwestern Slaw Makes 8 servings

2 cups fine-shredded green cabbage 2 tsp lime juice 2 tsp honey 2 tbsp minced red onion 2 tsp minced jalapeƱos 2 tsp chopped cilantro Salt, to taste

Not my recipe. Sounds good though. You could sub in the napa/chinese cabbage.
