Portuguese Braised Venison Shanks

I mostly threw the shanks out before I was told of this recipe. Now I hunt for shanks not horns. Best I have had in a long time!

Round 2 just as awesome as the first try. Had a lamb shank in a nice restaurant, Give me the venison any day, the flavoring in the recipe is better. This picture also has Crawfish etouffee.

We used to bone out the shank and grind it up until this year when someone claimed it was one of the best cuts of meat on the deer. Saves a lot of time and hassle! Haven't tried it yet but I'll be giving this recipe a go! Thanks for sharing.
