Does anyone have a really good pickled egg recipe? We have 12 laying hens that are producing way more than we can eat. We made some with a recipe off the internet and they suck! Looking for a good tried and true recipe.

Only MEN eat pickled eggs. Mom use to pickled chicken hearts and gizzards in a jelliten of some sort. Sure do miss that. don't have a recipe for that...Sad

How long do the eggs need to sit in the brine to be considered pickled? I got a gallon glass jar I've been saving for just this. Thanks for the tip!

A deer camp staple for 25 years!

Boil eggs 10 minutes- peel

While eggs are boiling, mix brine: 2 c. White vinegar 1 c. Water 1 T. Pickling spices 2 t. Dill seed 1 t. Salt 2 T. Sugar

Bring to boil & simmer 8-10 minutes.

This is for about a dozen eggs. Brine must cover eggs. Layer & put sliced onions between.

Enjoy!
