I thought about tossing out a small perch (circle hook) under a float next time pan-fishing and wondered if anyone had a preference for which floats work best in less than 15 fow. Thanks fellas. I was kinda leaning toward a Thill balsa. Jimmy

I like to use a slip bobber for my junk pole. If I just have something out hoping for a big hit I call it my junk pole. I cast the area out. A slip bobber is much easier to handle if you're going to pack up and move. I used to put one of them big bobbers you attach to line, which I only use with a big sucker. With a slip, the perch will tire out and quit fighting after awhile. This is the time of year that a junk pole will surprise you with a big prize. Good luck
