Caught a 15inch 2 lb white crappie this summer. The fish was cpr'd. But i did get plently of pics. Do i get a graphite mount of it or not. Have a 9lb walleye graphite mount and it looks awesome. Any thoughts?

Just got it back. Looks great. Anyone looking for a nice replica, fibertech mounts out of brainerd mn is my go to choice. They even have a policy if you dont like it send it back and get your money back.

what are you talking about chop chop? They dont get shorter when you pinch the tail and close the mouth, if anything they get a little bit longer. That is why DNR enforces length limits that way, there is no way someone could ever keep a fish and debate if it does or does not meet limits because of the technique used to measure fish.

When i pinched the tail and measured correctly it was 15inches on the nose. This was the only way i could make sure fish didnt flop and take pic at same time. Not best picture though.

If you have the cash get a replica mount, they look awesome and will last forever

What I would do if you are going fiberglass is just wait until you have several big panfish and then get them all done as a school. Three or Four super tanker panfish on a drift wood school mount looks awesome. You can also get them done one at a time and just add to as you go if you dont want to wait.

If you're proud of it then get it mounted, only you can judge if it's mount worthy. Personally I would have had a skin mount done especially on a panfish instead of a replica.

Ok I deserve it! It was 9.5 pounds. I stand corrected. I did promise myself that next time We get a 15/16" crappie, we are mounting it. Regret not mounting the others.
