Huge sunfish ( pumpkin seeds)

My biggest pumpkin seed ever!!!

10 in long by 5 3/8 in wide!! Yes did get some nice pictures and let it go to swim another day!!

Looks like green sun fish not hybred

I'll go with long eared sunfish as well. Have both in my lake.

I googled pumkinseed and that was the best picture they had. Could be what you said. The pumkinseed I've caught look nothing like most these pics. I'll try to get out and get good pic of one. Bput 8.5 inches has been my biggest, but it was a thick fish.

Came from a 1700 acre lake up northern Wisconsin yes hybrid?? Sunfish?? 

Very nice fish. Just wondering if you think that is a pumpkinseed -bluegill hybrid.  Doesn't have the red marking on the gill cover next to the black and the blue streaks by the eye don't seem to be high around the eye. Just a observation. Either way great catch. Pretty fish.

To me doesn't look like a pumkinseed but a highbred bluegill. The seeds usually have a red stripe on the black behind the gill plate. Just curious, did you get him out of a stocked  pond or natural body of water? Either way that's a darn nice fish.
