Seen a show where these guys were using little crank baits in the dead of the summer to catch some bull gills. Anyone use them, or anyone have any ideas on them?

An addition to Grizwald's comment, I've caught gills on 1/8 oz buckshot rattle spoons tipped with a minnow head jigging for eyes. When they're hungry, they're gonna eat.

Last year I got the smallest flicker shads. Didn't even realize they came that small! Worked great!
