Anyone have an FLX 28 and use jigging raps, spoons etc and have problems with not making your lure? I know the lure is drifting out of the cone. I know the its only a 9 degree cone but I just find it crazy that my FL 8 works better for walleye fishing then my new flx 28.. but everything else on the flx 28 is awesome

I have tri-ducer on my FL-22HD and it works great...but I went through three of them before I got a good one!

I have noticed the same thing so I called Tom at Vexilar and he said "That's the way it is ". I put my FL 18 transducer 12degree I think, on and it was a little better. I know with the 18 and in the fish house I can see my dead stick and the jig through 1 hole, with the FL28 I sometimes loose contact with the jig and never see the dead stick thats 4 feet away. Thinking of buying the Tri-Ducer but I've heard there is trouble with them and are not making them anymore. Guess we are stuck with what we have for now.

are you fishing in current? I find this to a problem sometimes even when not fishing on a river. Lake Michigan harbors can have enough current pushing through that a spawn sack will float way out to the side when dropping it down with little weight.

when you first turn on your flx-28 the digital display, displays the battery voltage for you for a few seconds and then shuts off to display the digital depth and range you are in.and if you are using it for hours and the battery gets low it will display "low batt".

The first time it was bad I was in 20 to 24 fow... and the other day I was using a jigging rap in 8 to 10 feet and it was extremely bad... I tried turn my gain all the way up and still disappears. I have to dead stick it for it to reappear.. I didn't know the color selection changes sensitivity tho.. I'll have to look into that

Been using mine....worked awesome in 23 feet of water ....jigging raps, pimples, stop signs and spoons. Lately fishing in 5 -8 fow jigging same type lures I thought the mark was huge. I have been playing with all 5 color schemes as they also increase or decrease the sensitivity. How deep are you fishing?

Used one the other day in various depths of 20-50fow and it always marked my lure. Love the zoom option on those.
