tipping a guide

My son and I are going on our first 2 day guided trip up on green Bay, walleye fishing morning & nite, whitefish during the day .Depending on service how much do you TIP ??????????? Thanks, Jerry

I never use guides but if I did I would not have even expected that to have been required. Usually when I pay for a service all costs are figured into the price. If anything this makes me not want to ever use a guide. Like tipping the plumber.

I always tip at least 10%;but most of the time its 15 or even 20.It depends on how much work and travel is expected,and how much bait your using.Use your own judgement,just like a restaurant .Thats what I do.If he's a little cheaper than most around and you have a great time,he might get that 20%.If he's expensive and you don't feel you got your moneys worth Id give him 10%.I always figure at least 15% in when Im hiring as part of the cost.
