Hi. Just wondering if people are using the new hi Vis ice lines. Suffix tangerine color, stren hi Vis yellow, trilene ice lime green, etc... I am wondering if panfish are turned off by this from your experience. I was watching a gentleman jig for shallow water gills with 2lb stren hi Vis gold and he was crushing them. Does it really matter to the fish or do you have good luck with these lines? Thanks!

If the water is stained or you are using an aggressive presentation it probably doesn't make a difference. BUT, If I am hanging a tiny jig in front of picky bluegills a clear leader has worked better for me. Mrt.

Pointer, I have used Stren Vis yellow (2 lb mono; panfish being the target) for about the past 6 years and I really like it. I am 55 and seeing my line started being a problem prior to switching to the yellow line. Since I fish very clear water lakes, I use a flurocarbon leader and tie it directly to the yellow mono. This may be overkill but it works for me. Good luck.

I might start an argument but I like hi vis line on everything. I cannot say I have ever lost fish because of it.
