I have a two man portable. If I use my Mr. Heater it gets way to warm on the lowest setting. Any one know of a heater that puts out less BTU'S?

simple fix just turn the heater off when it gets to warm youll regret not having that heater when it is real cold out.

I have a Frabill and a Clam hub. Neither are thermal models. I use a Mr Heater Buddy in both and it seems to work well. I do keep the vents open and the door partially open also. But if I had thermal models it might be too much.

I have never owned a heater. Have been using a Coleman lantern since I was a kid(now 52) to heat the tent. As long as you dont mind the fumes a lantern works very well.

I have a Coleman blackcat catalytic heater that puts a max of 3000 BTU's. It heats my two man up nice down to about -10 outside temp.

what model mr heater are you using? i have a fully insulated otter and with my buddy heater on low it gets a little warm i open both top vents or crack the door open a little and seems to balance it out nicely. the smallest buddy heater is 3800btu. thats the one that just screws onto the top of a 1 lb'er.
