Shot a 94 today. Very good score but not good enough to me more than a "good shooting". Once again 24's on 3 traps. Opened by dropping my 1st target and 2 more on the 1st trap. 1 more and I may have made a shootoff. Another year of the State Shoot in the books. A success on many levels.
Tomorrow is the big day. 100 targets for the Handicap Championship. Finished strong today on final hundred of singles with a 97. Had 6-24's of 8 traps. Feeling good heading into tomorrow. Weather looks to be hot and calm.
You can join at the shoot you attend. Membership year is Sept 1-Aug 31. $20 for ATA and $10 for WTA annual dues.
You would start at the 20 yard line. You would be placed in classes depending on your league/practice scores for both singles and doubles.
ATA shoots typically have 300 targets offered. 100 each of singles, handicap, and doubles. Shoot any or all. Your choice.
I am thinking about joining ata this coming year. How does it all work? I have never shot ata before. What classes and yardage would I start at? How do the shoots differ from other weekend shoots that non ata clubs put on? Any info is greatly appreciated.
Well Tm, you're hitting them good enough to take 2nd place because I head to Rome tomorrow and plan to hit them harder than that. In my last 200 16's spread over 2 afternoons I had a 197 including a run of 150 straight.
FYI, they moved my booth down 4-5 traps I guess since the new building is going up where we used to be. See ya there!!
