I just picked up a Benelli M2 slug gun with a rifled barrel and iron sights. It came drilled and tapped. I went to Bass Pro yesterday looking for guidance on what kind of mount and rings to use, but unfortunately no one at the gun counter had a clue. I'm pretty much set on a Leupold VX-1 for a scope. Does anyone else have a M2 scoped? What setup do you suggest? Appreciate the help.

Something like this should work, there are cheaper options too.

Sorry, my link didn't work. Midwayusa and others sell a base that works.

I have one in a 20 gauge. I have a weaver 1 piece base with quick detach warne rings. I have a Bushnell elite 4200 1.25-4 with an illuminated reticle. The scope is a 30mm tube. To tell you the truth, I painted the front sight post white and usually use the gun with open sights. I use the shotgun for deer drives and a bolt action rifle in my stands.
