yes I saw it, have a couple 700s older, before the recall. One the  guns I own, the bolt locks when safety on. So I have to take safety off to unload it.

old link to recall dead, here's new one

Any updates on what they are doing to fix this? Replace the entire trigger?

My rifle arrived back home yesterday. Was gone almost two and half months.

I just called Gander Mountain. They said that one which was dropped off on 6/11 came back today. Mine was dropped off on 7/20. It will be a while. My son may need to use a different gun for the youth season. Hopefully it is back by the November gun season.

NOT happy!

Chief-

No problem with your gun. Only on those made after 2006 or so.

I sent mine in back in early July. Got an email confirmation that they received it. Haven't heard anything since.

Can anyone comment on the length of time it is taking to get a gun back? I had heard of people sending them in a couple months ago and not getting them back because a fix hadn't been identified... Rumors at this point, looking for any experiences- thanks

I have a 700 that is part of the recall. I called my local gander mountain and the gunsmith there said to bring it in. They are sending a bunch to Remington. I need to pay shipping and they will take care of the rest. I took my gun there yesterday and they said I should have it back in about a month.

So, don't wait until just before deer season to deal with this issue.
