For those of you fishing dipseys a lot, can you walk me through the process when a rod fires? Lost a couple more fish the weekend on dipsey F/F combo.
I have super sticky sharp hooks on the rig. Rod fires and begins bouncing. I remove rod from holder and fish comes off after about 5 seconds.
Should any kind of hookset be involved? I’m not currently doing this. Do you wait until the rod does something in particular or a certain length of time to remove it? I’m new to this stuff and hits are few and far between. When I get one, I hate losing it!
