Moose have been seen in Upper Michigan. And, they are going through a variety of health conflicts in a variety of areas.

Has anyone seen any moose while hunting? Heard of any problems with their health in that area? Especially in the Ottawa National Forest area.

Moose are protected (no hunting) in Upper Michigan. Some have gone moose sightseeing. And, have had some nice photos.

Some areas have had Winter Ticks (problem for moose) and effecting their immune systems. Although, the Ottawa National Forest has turkeys, grouse, etc. that possibly take care of some of these bugs.

The area around Stickley Lodge Getaway which is between Watersmeet, MI and Marenisco, MI has had moose sightings.

The bar (Rogers Bar) in the area by Stickley Lodge Getaway has a mount of a shed. And, pictures have been taken of moose including white moose.

If anyone has more information on sightings, general information in this area please let me know.
