Agreed landman. I'm in Taylor Co. here and have seen several also. Mostly singles, but alot of them are MUCH bigger than I would have figured they'd be for mid June. 2 of them were damn near out of spots!

I have seen a bunch in the last week. Several with twins in the farmland areas of Marathon/Portage counties. They seem to have taken the winter quite well in the farmland areas.

I saw one in Oneida county last week while fishing. It was stuck in muck and water along the river bank and was going to drown. I thought "There aren't enough deer in the northwoods to let this one die." So, I went up to it and pulled it out and set it down on dry land. It ran away bawling for its doe. She came to it and I left.

Not counting one I saw hit by a car, I saw my first one in Marathon County last week. Real small. Have seen 3 other does with nothing.

While doing some field work on my place and a buddies farm in central Wisconsin (Northern Wood County), I have not seen the numbers I would have expected. I also spent a couple weekends in the Neillsville to Fairchild area doing a little 4 wheeling. Saw deer but not any fawns.

Saw one while walking in port Washington this weekend. Walking in the creek. Tried to walk up the bank towards us. Mommy watched and was quick to get the fawn as we walked away.

Saw one this morning too..was out in a plowed field with mom looking for a breeze to keep the mosquitoes away I'm guessing.
