Im new to trolling, just picked up a few rods/reels and boards. My question is what are some of the best crank baits for deeper water walleye (20-25')? I know there are a bunch out there, but I am looking to purchase a few to try out, just wondering what would be the best to get? Thanks

Consider a copy of the Trolling Bible or the app for your smartphone.

To get to those depths I run leadcore or snapweights and you can get any bait you want to that depth.I have not messed around too much with diving boards (like Dipsy or Jets) or inline keel weights.

Deep little rippers, taildancers, flicker minnows/shads will work. Even some of the deep diving salmos might get you into that 20' range.

My favorite baits 4 Winnebago and petenwell have always been flicker shads either number 5 number 7 or number nines the cheap and they catch a lot of walleyes

20-25ft is a long way to expect a walleye lure to dive IMO. When I used to troll for eyes, I used snap weights or inline weights to get the lures to the targeted depth.

My main lakes are Winnebago, North Twin, and Petenwell. But also I make trips to green bay, never have trolled, but want to try

What bodies of water are you fishing, that can really make a difference, both size and profile wise.
