I am looking for a taxidermist that does fish. I live in Waukesha but would be willing to travel a bit for a great job.

I think the most important thing is to go to their websites and look at the paint jobs. Some taxidermists over styleize/over/color the fish and don't attempt yo paint them to match what your's looks like, it's what they think it should look like. I like mine to match the picture as much as possible and be as realistic as possible. My favorite taxidermist moved away years ago and I have not found a good one I like yet.

Tietz Wildlife in Lebanon is where I take all my fish and birds to. Very good work and pretty reasonable rates. I have had two walleye, smallie, crappie, bluegill, widgeon which is on his website, red head canvasback and currently drake and hen goldeneye.

Can't say enough good about Second Nature out of Green Bay. Expect to wait awhile because he is very busy but his work is second to none.
