How do you guys deal with this, and whatever is it that you do, how effective is it? Thanks!

I keep a large Stainless Steel Spoon in my tackle box. After releasing or handling every fish I rub the spoon all over my hands with water. Works like a charm.

Aye, same here. I started using nitrile gloves on our two week summer vacation. Not because of the smell, because of small cuts getting infected. Now it is more of a common courtesy thing for the wife. I use them whenever I chop onions now too.

Whoever said dish soap and table salt nailed it. Try it, it really works.

Sorry, my wife doesn't like my hands smelling like dead animals in bed. Some of you guys apparently don't have to worry about that Lips Sealed

Are people really serious about a little fish smell on their hands? I must be mistaken, I thought this was an outdoorsmen/Fishing site with real men and women on it. I think the original poster was joking!!! LOL

Comet. Works great! And then put some on the cutting board and sink. Cleaned hundreds of panfish over the years this way in the kitchen and still odor free.

Dish soap and stainless steel bar. But the main thing is to scrub around and under the fingernails. Unless you get the fingernails it will still smell no matter what you use.
