Is it a bad idea to plan a trip to fish Green Bay with my size boat? Which landing is best to minimize boat travel? And last question, what time of the year? Thanks, from a fisherman who is overly cautious.

Thanks Budman, how far out do you venture with your 17? Saw a fishing show this weekend and it looked like some nice rollers can occur out there. They were trolling spinner baits with pork plastic crawlers. Sounds like I better check the regs before heading up there! Thanks again and tight lines!

On a calm day you shouldn't have any problems. I've had my 17 ft. with a 50 hp out there in the past. I would pay special attention to the weater and get to shore as soon as anything look iffy. remember at 16.5 ft. your boat is going to need all the coast guard safety stuff.
