What Did You Do Today
I worked and haven't anything that resembles leadership since my Supervisor was hired here 8 months ago. Great guy, been with the company about 10 years but he has little contact with the 3 guys that have there the longest, only the other r hired after.
Can only hope my days are numbered
Made some summer sausage and breakfast sausage out of the last deer I got. Never did it myself before but each year I complain about the bill when I take it in to be processed. It was a lot easier than I thought and turned out great. Guess I'll be doing it myself from now on. I justified buying a nice grinder since it cost what I typically pay for venison processing, so I'll break even next year on it. Next up will be hotdogs and snack sticks, I just have to find better racks for my smoker first since I can't hang them with what I have.
Hauled and split the tree, now firewood, that went down over the weekend, then put the canoe in the river, paddled upstream to a hole I like to fish (caught a snake northern, 2 smallies, and some suckers), then cut the grass, ate dinner and spent the last few hours of daylight sitting in my tree stand with the bow. Truly feel blessed to be able to still do this stuff at 63.
