We hunt just off hwy k towards conover....seen 9 deer on sat and heard alot of shots in the morning, way more than in recent years .... Took a spike at 1030...Thursday when I came through minocqua, they were pickup trucks backed in at Curt's all loading hundred pound bags of corn in their trucks....I'm sure it wasn't for bait though....lol.

I was up the weekend of the 9th, we didn't see 1 deer up in Land O Lakes. Not 1. (and some apples fell into the yard from some trees).

Deer moving?  Not around Sayner. Didn’t see squat today.

0 degrees with no wind had most of the lakes freezing and the deer moving in the north woods. I would guess there will be many options for ice fishing by Thanksgiving.

Well n.pike I was up at the cabin last week and spent considerable time blowing, raking, hauling leaves/needles. Then the storm hit over the weekend, but I had a small window on Monday to blow out the leaves once again before more rain and snow. It's pretty well cleaned up now. I hate letting it go until Spring due to the bug factor and where the snow plow deposits all those leaves.
