I miss the old thread...

My random thought for the day?

While driving to Oconomowoc this evening I noticed a dead deer on the side of the road with a big ole' orange X painted on it's side.

What in the world is that for?  Are they trying to keep track of what deer has been reported dead (for disposal purposes?)  If so, wouldn't it just be easier for the guy to throw the dead deer in the back of the county vehicle rather than painting it's side with an orange X?

Anyone notice how this long winter has people dying like it's mid-February?

What Tim said.

Thanks for the reality pill.  We all need one from time to time.

My neighbor and I were not speaking. We had discussed getting rid of our dog and that did not sit well with them. He had a heart attack Sunday and she asked the cop to come get me. Fast forward a few days and they are taking him off life support tomorrow. If there is something between you and someone you used to be friends with, go repair that relationship. Or you can live with guilt the rest of your life, it's your call.

Typically a mci-mass casualty incident is anything that overtaxes the EMS resources.  In rural areas, a three car accident will often be a MCI event.  No one has to die in it, rather the ability for the local area to handle it on their own.

Anything can be a mass casualty incident. A good fart, even.

I see we now call prison riots; "mass casualty incidents".

It’s the “in the south” part that I’m finding particularly appealing after this weekends snow removal attempts!

Snow-blowed the driveway five times since Saturday am, I’m sure I will do it at least one more time before the day is done.
