Pickup Truck Caps & Bed Liners
I went with the bedrug this time, expensive but worth every penny in my book. If I am hauling junk or dirty stuff I use my trailer.
For toppers, I have a Lakeland fiberglass. I agree with the other post... the locks don't hold up to salt/moisture. Other than that, they're pretty solid.
Somewhere along the line, they quit using brass tumblers in their locks and they don't back them up.
I have been pretty happy with it, it makes life so much easier being able to lock down the bed and not have to worry about gear in the cab or the bed- the only issue after installation (I had it done at a truck custom shop)- the drain tubes were cut too long and had a kink, also had some small styrofoam pieces which kept clogging the tubes- after a few good rainstorms, the cannister that the top rolls into was full of water. I went to a hardware stotre and got a couple of feet of kink-proof hose for washing machines and replaced the factory hose, no more drainage issues-
Also, the seals at both the cab and tailgate ends came unglued after about a month- no problem, just took some gorilla glue and glued them back up in about 5-10 mins. Other than those issues, things are fine- some leakage in heavy rain at highway speeds around the "mohair" seals, but the cover is sturdy, super easy to open/close and IMHO, worth the money.
