We need this thread on Lale-Link to remind us all what day, week, or month our country is observing.  For example; December 30th is National Bacon Day.  June is Dairy month.

The Day The Music Died Day.

Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, and Big Bopper JP Richardson died in a plane crash on this date in 1959

Apparently March 14th is Pi as in doing the math computations for circles. Pi = 3.1415.  I guess some nerds eat pie to observe the day

Wait, I thought national pie day was March 14th?  Is there actually more than 1 pie day?  Not that I need an excuse to have pie, but are there 2 designated days?  Makes me miss my massive blackberry patch.  I picked about 80 gallons off of it one year.  I think I averaged making about a dozen pies a week for the whole month of August.  Blackberry with a little finely diced apple to break up the seeds a little bit.
