Dillard has been consistently awful at both run and pass blocking.
There was an athlete there when he was coming out into the draft. Very high RAS.
His youtube cutup of all his sacks (league leading) showed a guy who didn't seemed coached at all. Like he and the rest of the line didn't know who to block and were very slow out of their stances.
He's always lacked strength to anchor. He did have good, quick feet and could move.
If there is still an athlete there, after injuries, our coaching staff will find it. If not? He won't make it out of camp.

I don't see Mitchell being anywhere close to where GB picks. And I'd be very surprised if Arnold was anywhere close, too.
Should GB decide to trade up, I'm all for it. Just not with any of our second round picks. But a third or fourth to move up a few slots and secure someone (like they did with Love)? Sure.
I'm not really sure who that would be.
I'm just getting thoughts in my head (which are not uncommon) that while we may take a guard and a tackle, the tackle will be a developmental guy. Suamatia, Paul, Greenfield.
I can see a guard being taken to play right away. Mason McCormick. Haynes. Beebe. Zinter.

Dillard didn’t live up to expectations in Philly and dumped by Titans after first year of three year contract. He has minimal experience at guard. Maybe he can be coached up to add depth. Still haven’t seen contract details so I doubt it is for much above league minimum.
I don’t see his signing impacting the draft. I will rule nothing out regarding the draft. Gute has shown he is willing to move up and down in the draft if he can find a willing trade partner at the right price. The fact that they may end up staying where they are doesn’t mean they didn’t seriously try to move out of that slot.
I’d like to get Mitchell but will be surprised if that happens.

Dillard was awful last year with the Titans. But? Rookie QB and that whole team was kind of a mess.
He's a great reclamation project. And? He's started quite a few games. If he can get coached up, he's kind of ideal for the "next tackle up" or "swing" tackle.
Kind of tells me that maybe GB is willing to move up for the right guy, not a tackle, then take one later that is really a developmental kind of tackle.
Or, he could just be a camp body. We shall see.
Less than one week out now!!

Saw the Packers/Steelers SB replayed on NFL network today. Rogers was amazing in that game. Pack should have had two for sure more TD’s, but James Jones dropped a-pass and so did Jordy. Greg Jennings was a beast. Yet the Pack felt shorted cause Driver was hurt.
So Snake let me draw these parallels:
Year was 2010, 14 years since last SB win
Pack had Driver, Jennings, Jordy, Jones, just a raft of great receivers…
So it’s 2024 , 14 years since last SB…
Raft of great receivers??? CHECK….

In my book, ChiTown is always welcome on Packer thread. We all get a little negative every now and then. Even though I have more faith in GB than anyone else, I welcome some negative views on our team.Especially south of the border. They are our Prey that we have to kill 2 times a year. It’s healthy to be close to ur enemy.
