I really enjoy a good beer, but the last few years I've been drinking more and more red wine.  Heart healthy, and all around better for you than beer.

For the most part I enjoy a dark, dry, red wine.  That said, King Estate from Oregon has the best Pinot Noir I've had to date.  Anyone else have any favorites?  Dave, I know you can add to the list!

SS, I’ll likely go with a cab, but that isn’t the best pair with Turkey - just happens to be one of my favorites.

Generally speaking a cab is higher in tannins than a lighter red, and is not the best for Turkey.

You’d be better off with something a little less dry and a bit more fruity like a Pinot Noir. King Estate is my favorite - expect to pay around 25 a bottle.

You could also go with a red Zin, something light and fruity - possibly even a merlot.

For the most part I like deep, dry, dark reds that may not be the best pair with Turkey - just happens to be what I enjoy.

Starts with 1999 Siro Pacenti Brunello and moves to big red, 2006 Mollydooker Carnival of Love, Shiraz.  Somewhat non-traditional thanksgiving with beef tenderloin and turkey breast in the smoker.

edit: it is actually 1999 Brunello.  Has to be drank....
