I really enjoy a good beer, but the last few years I've been drinking more and more red wine.  Heart healthy, and all around better for you than beer.

For the most part I enjoy a dark, dry, red wine.  That said, King Estate from Oregon has the best Pinot Noir I've had to date.  Anyone else have any favorites?  Dave, I know you can add to the list!

Z Alexander Brown Uncaged Cab.

A fairly bold vino, very dry, and more tannic than smooth.

Not a beginner wine...

I really like it, it’s a buy again 3.75 stars.

It’s ok SS, it’s safe to come out of the closet and admit that you enjoy a nice red :)

It doesn’t have to be just for the ladies lol!!

Get a nice Pinot Noir and pour yourself something more than a splash!

Cheers!

Thanks for your responses. The other guys in my group and I will probably continue to drink beer. I'm going to get some good wine for the ladies and a Champagne. But, I want to taste, via a tiny sip, the good wine, which is all I will do, as I said, the wine is for the women.

Hey SM!!!

Try a Coppola Blue label Merlot - same price point and a much better vino imo...

I’ve had the black label, just ok...

Agreed on the Pinot!  Light and fruity - works well for Thanksgiving.  I’ll still be sipping a nice cab

turn you, I will ....

Actually, pairing wine and thanksgiving is not easy.  My problem is always the cranberry dish and the brown sugar/yam dish in my house.  Cranberry dish will make almost anything taste bad.  The yam dish is sweet.  A sweeter pinot or cali chardonnay like landmark works.

C’mon Xray, I have been known to drink that deep purple stuff from the land down under!

Certainly the above isn’t a good pair with Turkey! Maybe a nice prime rib or strip though!
