http://wbay.com/2016/01/20/wisconsin-senate-oks-blaze-pink-for-hunters/ Seems that our legislators have nothing better to do. Might be the worst decision yet. Some people who are colorblind can't see pink. Lets hope and pray that no one gets killed because of this horrible decision. Here are 2 pictures to prove it.

This follows under the Pick your battles to me. Whatever floats their boat. I will say I hope I win something blaze pink at a wildlife banquet this year. I can wear it to the bar opening weekend. Just to get the old boys fired up. Cool

Blaze pink was NOTHING more than a knee jerk reaction to plummeting gun deer licenses. The second lowest # since 1976. Last year was the lowest since 1976. Madison is VERY aware of this fact. Hence all the legislative grasping at straws to shore up license sales. Safety be damned. More wonderful ethics lessons from the state of Wisconsin concerning hunting.

brow tine,

I am well aware of how a bill becomes a law. Thanks anyway.

Sorry if you can't take some sarcastic comment with a grain of salt instead.

Who cares what party introduced the bill? It's stupid and unnecessary when there are many more pressing issues facing the people of this state.

The whole problem today is that society is so polarized.

Yes, as the "textiles expert" from.UW said, it may stand out more in a FALL LANDSCAPE. However, the gun deer season is brown/white with leafless trees.

Walker must know someone who is going to open up a huge new job-creating business for the yet to be seen but sought after blaze pink hunting clothing.

"By far, the vast majority of manufacturers who make blaze orange clothing only make it in men's sizes. As it sits right now, the womens blaze orange market is small enough that no manufacturer is going to retool their plant to make women sizes for blaze orange. It certainly isn't available at an affordable price at a local retailer. It's a special order item and you better reach deep in your pocket compared to what else is available. The flip side is that blaze pink and blaze pink camo is readily available."

Forgive me if I'm missing something here but they don't make blaze orange hunting suits in "womens shapes" because of retooling for a small market? Wouldn't they in fact have to retool to make "womens shape" clothing in pink as well for that same small market? I have yet to ever see a fully insulated pink or pink camo suit readily available.

I see Cabelas has blaze orange "womens shape" parkas and bibs on sale right now for $50 each, not going to find a much cheaper suit then that no matter what your shape.

I guess I could go along with "different shape" if it was required for anything more than 50% of your upper body and a hat if one is worn be covered in blaze orange, or if it was required during anything but the 9 day gun deer season and following muzzleloader season.

My girlfriend wears a very nice camo suit, which is already readily available, and a simple blaze orange vest and hat. No special shapes required for the vest or hat and the camo suit can be worn bow hunting and during other activities as it gets colder.

She laughs at the whole pink thing and says "If ladies wants to be a hunter, and treated like a hunter, just act and dress like a hunter. If your worried about making a statement do it somewhere other then in a treestand."
