I really think the best is the Ridgid 1/2" hammer drill. Plenty of power with the big batteries and its all guaranteed for life!

search for 'drill' on the forums. Few other threads have info on this already.

I've used ryobi dewault rigid and Milwaukee 18 volt drills. They all gave me about 20 holes in 6 inches of ice with a 6 inch lazer auger. Ryobi seemed weaker. The new drills are better I'm sure. The dewault was my favorite. Seemed powerful.
