Hi, I inherited my fathers 16ft deep-V. I bought a new Minn Kota V2 with the I-Pilot. He had one depth finder and some lights wired to the 2 front batteries, which were wired as a 12V system, even though the other TM was suppose to use a 24V system. I'm a novice, but my question is, if I hook the two batteries in a 24v system, would it be ok to still have the other accessories on that system or would it wreck them? Thank you for your help

If you have room in your boat just get another battery and connect your locaters, bilge pump, livewell pumps, lights. I have room pn my boat and I have 4 of them 2 for my trolling motor,1 for electronics and all other acceories and a starting battery. Never had any issues with anything.

Thanks. I take it the locator would have interference from the trolling motor running?

lights would be no problem just run directly off one of the two batteries. as for the electronics they should run off the main battery. preferably a dual purpose battery.

Just wire the lights and locator to one battery, 12 volts.
