Lowrance locator problems

Anyone else have a problem with your locator "freezing-up" after the intro comes on.  Tried a hard start-up and nothing.  I have the Elite 4 CHIRP

Did you try updating the software?

Or factory reset... should be in manual on how to

note: you will lose any waypoints, trails, etc when doing a factory reset

No luck, I guess I'll send it in.  2 years old so no warranty

I don't run Lowrance anymore, but have in the past.  I would suggest pulling map chip out, then start it up, sometimes the chips can cause a startup to hang like that.
