I've decided to get into trolling for walleye and the only from being able to hit the water is a gps unit. I'm waiting to buy a sonar/gps combo for when I upgrade to a bigger boat. I don't want to rely on my smartphone either. I'll need to be able to mark points, have a speed reading, and able to plug in micro SD cards for additional lake data. Thanks for the input!

Delorme PN60. It runs Navionics and is wonderful. Use lithium batteries and you can run it for a long time. Good software that is easy to use. I still have it in my boat because it has all of my old waypoints. Been a good investment for me. Even has street maps if u need that.
