The catfish season is behind most of us now. Of course some will ice fish for cats (I intend to) but open water is about done for our whiskered friends. This morning I was updating my web site and looking back at the year. What a great year it was. Over 100 days on the water, over 7 tons of channel cats through the boat, many new friends and memories made. How did you all fare in 2015?

Okauchee man were you fishing at a warm water discharge for those flats? I was under the impression they go dormant in the winter. I got into 6-7 near the end of October when the water was still above 50 degrees. My experience has been that they hole up and hibernate the winter away. Anyway, those are some beauts!!

Spent Tuesday 12/22/15 chasing flatheads at DePere on the Fox River. Biggest was 42" with 8 over 36". We actually do better in the cold water.

Members of the Okauchee Fishing Club (ofcfish.com) Take a look at our club. We are very active and would invite new members.

It started out great from March till the middle of May. Then factors out of my control derailed the rest of the season. 3/4 of my vacation went to storm clean up/funerals. I'm looking forward to 2016 and good riddance to 2015 to say the least.
