Catfish and moon phases

I used to pay a lot of attention to the moon when deciding when to go fishing. After looking at the data I just wanted to throw it out. I still believe its a factor, however, it seems to be secondary to thing like the weather and water levels. The strongest correlation I found was fishing in the morning when the full moon was setting. I always did very well especially during June, which is probably my worst month being spawning time.

When I was researching my book I ran three years of data against he moon phase just to see. I actually have it as the 4th or 5th factor in catfishing. I pay zero attention to it on a day by day basis.
With that I believe that flathead guys have valid points on it but I think that is to the light and not the moon phase and gravitational pull that it creates.
I should for fun run the last three years catch records against it just to see if I was right when I ran it the first time.
