Any known problems with these motors? I'm looking at a boat with this engine, seems clean. Is there an hour meter on these engines? Thanks, Ron

there is a hour meter but you gotta take it to a dealer to find out its all on the computer... theyll plug it in tell you how much its been run...

I have a 07 25 EFI that has been perfect, I think the 06 was EFI also so there are no carbs.

No hour meter on this outboard. They come from the factory set too lean to meet EPA standards. Richen carb 1/8 - 1/4 turn out. MY BAD that year is EFI
