I recently bought a boat with a Minn Kota bow mount with the first generation universal sonar and it was wired for a Garmin Fishfinder 160. Well, the 160 isn't working any more and I want to replace it with a Lowrance X-102c. I'm trying to find out if the Lowrance unit is even compatible with the US1 and if so, where can I get the adapter cable. Cabelas and Minn Kota said they don't even sell the US1 adapter cables any more since US2 has been around for over 5 years. So, if a cable exists, I need to know where I can find one. If they are not compatible, then I will have to try a couple of old Eagle units I have to see if they are compatible. Thanks for any help with this issue.

Plan to run a cable/ducer on it regardless. While I do use the US2 on my Terrova I do not like the quality of it. Get a DI unit and put it up front with it's own transducer. You'll love the set-up.

No, not compatible with either company's down imaging. If you want down or side imaging on the troll motor, you will be running the cable down it just as you do now.

The alumaducer is used when a good sonar signal on plane cannot be achieved by other means.
