I have a '72 Johnson 9.5hp that had been sitting un-used for the last 3 years. It started up just fine and runs great, but I have a feeling the impeller and/or housing may need replacement after sitting that long.

Is this an easy (or do-able) DIY fix w/o a parts diagram?

Generally speaking if you have basic mechanic skills it is not a big job. They all seem to have their little tricks that make it easier but I would look for a diagram because they sometimes like to hide screws or bolts that need to be removed.
