If you plan it out, it's not bad, but perhaps more than a weekend project.  I ahve installed new floors and carpet, replaced floors and carpet in several boats over time.  What I have always done is glued  and stapled on the back side the carpet.  The tricky part is replacing the floor.  I have broken several Pop Rivet Guns trying to replace floors with those super size pop rivets that the manufacturers use.
