I have i believe a 2003 or 2004 evinrude 25 horse motor efi with very low hours on it, it idles fine but when you give it throttle it bogs down. After a while of it being bogged like 5 minutes or more it will start to run like normal. I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice what to look at to fix, i was thinking of changing the fuel line and or gas tank but i don't want to buy those and it not fix anything. Thanks in advance!

There is still adjustments that will cause your problem.........Hooking up to a "Scanner" is not a magic fix. It is a tool and is hardly used at all. People that think' a scanner is a magic fix', also will take the Car in for Every Check engine light. A serial number would help and if its a True EfI or E-tec or a 4 stroke efi. Makes a Difference. Oh your problem" is a air adjustment,It bogs" because its lean and needs to warm up for 5 minutes before the bog quits at throttle up.Just like a regular Carb engine. They still all act the same. Also Evinrude did not make 25hp in 2003 or 2004. Lowest hp they made was 40hp. Would have to be a Johnson and those years, the motors were a Suzuki with a Johnson paint job.

It is an EFI. Take it the dealer. They will plug it in to the scanner and be able to tell what is wrong almost immediately.
