I got pretty tired of having the boat swing back and forth while anchored with the anchor line secured to one of the front cleats. Hope i'm not turning it into FrankenLund. Went to West Marine and bought a Harken cam which allows a 1/2" line to come in but prevents it from playing out. Took off the bow piece and drilled two 3/16 holes into it and used a 2" stainless bolt and lock washer to secure the cam to the bow. Cut the bolt to just below the nut. Leaving for Leech Lake Friday and I'm sure it will get a workout.

You need to make yourself a duece watch the clip at 1 min 30 . With duece you can anchor sidewise with one anchor. They work great. I made mine in less then one hour the cost was under $15.00.http://walleye.outdoorsfirst.com/board/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=12772

That is a great device, unfortunately it wont stop the boat from swinging while at anchor if the wind is constantly changing direction. In current maybe.
